The sustainability job market is harder than it’s been in years. Budgets are shrinking, roles are being cut, and the professionals who care most about climate are often the first to feel the instability. At the same time, the work has never been more urgent. This one-hour workshop — led by Zach Weismann (The Impactful), Spencer Campbell (Spencer Campbell Talent), and Dan Freehling (Contempus Leadership) — is designed to meet that tension honestly: not with platitudes about opportunity, but with practical tools and real conversation about how to navigate what’s actually happening right now.

We’ll structure the hour around three paths: finding or landing full-time roles in a tightening market, building a resilient freelance or solopreneur practice, and the hybrid model that more and more sustainability professionals are moving toward. Each of us brings a different vantage point — talent placement and executive coaching, community building, and on-the-ground freelance experience — so participants leave with perspectives and frameworks across the full spectrum, not just one person’s playbook. 

We’ll share real stories (our own and lessons learned from clients) and then open the floor for live Q&A in the final 20 minutes. Come with your questions; leave with an idea or two you can put to work.
